Mandarin Chinese is the official language in Taiwan. But don't worry, English is widely spoken and the locals are super friendly. You'll find most signs and public transport announcements in English as well. However, be prepared for some taxi drivers who might only speak Mandarin or Taiwanese. It's a good idea to have your destinations written in Chinese, just in case!
